Sometimes, a little extra support can make all the difference. Our Companion & Personal Care services are designed around the individual needs of each private client and can include a wide range of non-medical support within the scope of personal and companion care.
From help with everyday routines and personal care to companionship, light household tasks, errands, meal preparation, and simply having a familiar, caring person there, we tailor our support to what each individual and family needs.
Whether you need a helping hand for a few hours a week or more regular assistance at home, our goal is simple: to help you remain comfortable, supported, and independent in the place you call home.
Post Hospital Discharge Support
Coming home from the hospital can be overwhelming, especially when everyday tasks suddenly become more difficult. Forest Haven provides compassionate, non-medical support to help individuals safely and comfortably transition back home after a hospital stay.
Our caregivers can assist with everyday activities, personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, mobility support, errands, companionship, and other non-medical needs within our scope of service.
We work to provide the extra support families need during those important first days and weeks at home—helping make the transition less stressful while allowing individuals to recover in familiar surroundings.
VA Home Health Aide Community Care
Forest Haven is proud to support Maine veterans through VA-authorized Home Health Aide Community Care.
Our VA services are provided according to the requirements, care plans, authorizations, and guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Our trained caregivers provide non-medical assistance in the veteran's home, helping with authorized activities of daily living and personal care while supporting comfort, dignity, and independence.
We understand that caring for veterans comes with a special responsibility. Our goal is to provide dependable, respectful care while honoring each veteran's individual needs, preferences, and right to remain safely at home.
